What is AmistadesHTX?
AmistadesHTX is a program of Legacy Community Health. The program provides free HIV testing, linkage to care, stigma reduction, and community building for Houston Area Latino/a/x men.

We aim to empower and uplift our members through open dialogue about sexual health and other topics individually, in groups, and on social media.

Becoming a part of the AmistadesHTX Familia
Are you interested in becoming a member of the familia? As a member of the familia you will learn how to reduce stigma through discussions (individually or in group) to raise awareness and empower others to seek health care.

We also work together to be visually present in the community through social media campaigns, outreach, health fairs and/or other community events.

What do we offer?
In addition to free HIV testing, AmistadesHTX offers linkage to PrEP, connection to primary care, social discussion group Cafe con Leche (a closed status-neutral group), and visual campaign Como Soy/As I Am.

AmistadesHTX is also a safe space dedicated to building an affirming and healthy community for Latino/a/x men to meet new and familiar people interested in building and fostering community and having discussion.

AmistadesHTX es un programa de Legacy Community Health. El programa proporciona pruebas de VIH gratuitas, conexión a la atención, reducción del estigma y desarrollo comunitario para hombres latinos/a/x del área de Houston.

Nuestro objetivo es empoderar y animar a nuestros miembros a través de un diálogo abierto sobre la salud sexual y otros temas de forma individual, en grupos y en nuestras redes sociales.

¿Estás interesado en convertirte en miembro de la familia? Como miembro de la familia, aprenderá cómo reducir el estigma a través de discusiones (individuales o grupales) para crear conciencia y capacitar a otros para buscar atención médica.

También trabajamos juntos para estar visualmente presentes en la comunidad a través de las redes sociales, ferias de salud y/u otros eventos.

¿Qué ofrecemos?
Además de las pruebas gratuitas de VIH, Amistades ofrece enlace con PrEP, enlace a servicios de salud, el grupo de discusión social Café con leche (un grupo cerrado de estatus neutral) y la campaña visual Como Soy/As I Am.

Amistades también es un espacio seguro dedicado a construir una comunidad afirmativa y saludable para hombres latinos/a/x para conocer gente nueva y familiar interesada en construir y fomentar la comunidad y tener conversaciones.
