2023 Teen Health Ambassador & Intern

My name is Sloan and I was an intern with Legacy over the summer 2023. I hope to eventually become a physician, and during my time at Legacy I learned more about the field of health care and related laws like the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). This internship truly instilled in me that health care is a basic human right and should always be judgement-free. I hope to employ these values in medical school and my career to improve the medical field. During my internship, I mostly created content relating to nutrition for seniors and teens. I am passionate about wellness and learned what a big role nutrition plays in general health. I really enjoyed my time at Legacy and hope to continue next summer!
