Rhea P.
Teen Health Ambassador Advisory CommitteeÂ
My name is Rhea and I am a sophomore at The Village School. From a young age, I was active in community organizations such as Girl Scouts and community volunteering. I also have been involved in school organizations such as starting a women’s issues club at my school. When I learned about the Legacy Teen Health Ambassador program, I knew right away that it was an opportunity I wanted to pursue and would help me grow a lot. My first projects include managing teen surveys and focus groups, how to improve nutrition in teens, and what diabetes is/how to manage it. These projects align with my interest in helping other teens to be more knowledgeable about their health and health care – and my interest in studying business and marketing in college. I feel like this program will allow me to learn much more about healthcare in teens and caring for underserved communities.
