Ashley Harris-Land is a dedicated professional with a strong background in community service and public health initiatives, hailing from her hometown of Houston, Texas. Ashley received her Bachelor of Science in Health Administration from Texas Southern University and earned her Master of Health Administration/Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Prior to joining AmeriCorps, Ashley worked as a Certified Community Health Worker.
Ashley served as an AmeriCorps member in the Maternal and Child Health Program Specialist role at Legacy from October 2018 to September 2019. While serving as a member, Ashley coordinated prenatal care education programs for low-income families and taught health education classes in medically underserved populations.
Her commitment to serving her community led her to progressively responsible roles within Legacy, including her current position as AmeriCorps Program Director. In this capacity, Ashley not only oversees a team of over 70 AmeriCorps members but also spearheads onboarding and compliance efforts, ensuring smooth transitions for new recruits and adherence to program regulations.
Outside of work, Ashley is known for her passion for the arts, performing as an actress in the Houston performing arts community.
