ilda Andaluz, Chief Human Resources Officer
ilda Andaluz joins Legacy with more than 20 years of experience in Human Resources leadership within private and public sectors, including telecommunications, retail, manufacturing, municipal, education and energy.
Previously, Andaluz served as Executive Vice President of Global Human Resources at Varel Entergy Solutions for five years. Her prior experience includes human resources leadership positions for companies in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
Throughout her career, Andaluz has demonstrated proven success in leading innovative, integrated and consistent practices in human resources, employee relations, leadership development, organizational development, talent management, employee engagement, performance development and change leadership. She was a member of the Board of Directors for the Brenda and John Duncan YMCA from 2016 to 2021 and served as the Board Chair for one year.
In her position as Chief Human Resources Officer, Andaluz builds on the work of Legacy’s HR team and serves as the voice of Legacy team members in leadership meetings and Board meetings. Andaluz creates programs and strategies to develop talent through career pathing, compensation grading and structure, and benefit alignment. Additionally, she deploys a nimble workforce to accommodate continued growth and cultivate strategy with leaders on her team to build future programs that emphasize Legacy’s diverse workforce.
Andaluz earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from McGill University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She also graduated from Tulane University Law School where she obtained her Master of Jurisprudence in Employment and Labor Relations. Additionally, Andaluz holds various project management and HR certifications, including Project Management certification, and completed the Advanced Executive HR Program from the University of Michigan.
Andaluz is a talented linguist and speaks, reads, and writes fluently in Spanish, English, French and Italian. She always finds time to mentor others and has a passion for developing people to their full potential.
