We are now a little more than a month away from the second annual Gay 10k. This year Legacy is proud to be the beneficiary of the race, which means a portion of the proceeds will help fuel the programs and services the community has relied upon for nearly 40 years.
“It is a natural fit,” says Stephanie Warren, founder of the Gay 10k, says of partnering with Legacy. “Our visions are parallel to one another: bringing community together, in healthier ways, in a welcoming place – where love is love and love wins.”
The 10k is open to everyone who wants to run. Runners can choose between a 5k and 10k, or a walking option. The Gay 10k will be held on Saturday September 23rd at Fish Plaza in Downtown Houston.
“We are incredibly grateful to be this year’s Gay 10k beneficiary” said Chree Boydstun, Chief Development Officer for Legacy. “Houston has a vibrant LGBTQ community, and we want to keep it happy and healthy.”
