October is National Dental Hygiene Month and we’re thrilled for you to meet Legacy’s Dental Medical Director, Dr. Ashley Johnson!
Before joining Legacy, Dr. Johnson worked at a federally qualified health care center in Conroe, TX, for eight and a half years. She now works at Legacy’s Fifth Ward clinic on Lyons Avenue.
Dr. Johnson understands that the impact of poor dental hygiene can lead to numerous health problems from eating, speaking and nutrition. According to the American Heart Association, adults who are prone to poor oral health may likely show signs of declining brain health.
“As a general dentist, I believe that it is very important to educate my patients about the importance of proper oral health care and to treat them as partners,” Dr. Johnson said.
Oral care is essential to your overall health and well-being, Legacy Community Health is committed to promoting dental health within the community.
Legacy offers dental care at three of our clinics:
- Montrose: 1415 California St. Houston, TX, 77006.
- Fifth Ward: 3811 Lyons Ave. Houston, TX, 77020.
- Baker-Ripley: 6500 Rookin Street, Bldg. B, Ste. 200 Houston, TX, 77074.
