You can observe the 27th annual Testing Day by knowing your own HIV status. Everybody has one, what’s yours?
National HIV Testing Day (NHTD) was first observed on June 27, 1995. This is a day to encourage people to get tested for HIV, know their status, and get linked to prevention, care, and treatment. On National HIV Testing Day, health care providers throughout the nation highlight the importance of HIV prevention and the end of HIV stigma. According to the most recent published data by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the highest rates of HIV transmission are found in the South—and Harris County is among the CDC’s “priority counties”.
This National HIV Testing Day, Legacy reminds you that we offer FREE HIV testing, no appointment needed. Just walk into to one of Legacy’s convenient locations across Houston and Beaumont.
