Legacy Community Health in Beaumont Expands Pediatrician Practice 

BEAUMONT- Legacy Community Health, one of the nation’s largest community health centers, announced today the hiring of a new pediatrician, Dr. Ahmad Abu-Sulb, for its central Beaumont clinic.  Abu-Sulb completed his residency at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

“We’re thrilled to have Dr. Abu-Sulb on board to help us meet the growing demand for pediatric care in Beaumont,” said Candye Anderson, executive director for Legacy Community Health’s Beaumont operations. “We are always striving to expand access to high-quality health care for families in this area, regardless of their ability to pay.”

A native of Jordan, Abu-Sulb completed medical school at the University of Jordan, and is a past member of the American Academy of Pediatricians.

“I look forward to the non-profit route in health care at Legacy,” said Dr. Abu-Sulb. “My governing philosophy is patient-centered care, so I couldn’t have landed at a better place.”

 

Legacy Community Health, a not-for-profit Federally Qualified Health Center, provides adult primary care, pediatrics, OB/GYN and maternity, HIV/AIDS care, dental, vision and behavioral health to more than 100,000 patients, regardless of their ability to pay. Legacy is a United Way of Greater Houston agency.
