April 10 is National Youth HIV & AIDS Awareness Day. This is a day to call attention to how young people are impacted by HIV. The day also serves to rally youth, parents, educators and elected officials to discuss and begin making changes in how young people are educated about sexual health.
Advocate and supporter, Deondre Moore travels to schools and educational functions, telling of his experience as a youth when he discovered he was HIV positive.
He continues to speak publicly to empower young people to find their own voice in demanding better educational resources from the schools and government.
Deondre is a National Minority AIDS Council Youth Leader & Greater Than AIDS Ambassador. Please take a moment to listen to his message below.
