After recently opening three new campuses in the region, we wanted to take this opportunity to tell our story.
Legacy has transformed from the little-clinic-that-could of the 1980s into an entire community health system, today made up of 29 locations, across Southeast Texas. While growth is good, we are just trying to keep up with the unfortunate – and growing – demand for high-quality, affordable health care. Watch the new video below.
We also want to share what we will be working on over the coming weeks, including:
- Investing back in our communities by sponsoring eight back-to-school events August 3-25. Along with other sponsors, like Comcast, we’ll be providing 1,500 kids with backpacks at no cost.
- Opening the Legacy Pharmacy – Montrose and Legacy Pharmacy – Fifth Ward, both in October.
- Introducing a geriatrics practice later this month at our Fifth Ward clinic.
- Monitoring the ongoing debate around the health care bill in Washington, D.C., including the Administration possibly withholding Affordable Care Act payments to insurers. These payments help low-income Americans, our patients, afford insurance.
Congratulations to three of our psychiatrists – Drs. Chad Lemaire, Pedro Bustamante, and Dana Kober – who are featured in Houstonia magazine’s annual “Top Doctors 2017” issue out this month.
